Jingwei Zhou

I am a Ph.D. candidate in economics at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. My primary field is macroeconomics, with a particular interest in how geographic space shapes macroeconomic outcomes.

On the theoretical side, I study how spatial exposure and propagation shape macroeconomic outcomes and when omitting these mechanisms leads to biased conclusions.

On the applied side, I combine empirical methods with quantitative structural models to evaluate the effects of macroeconomic policies.

I also collaborate with scholars in computer science to study how artificial intelligence can support macroeconomic computation and modeling.
